About Think Vertical Records

Where Great Songs Move Forward.

Every great record begins the same way—with an idea.

Sometimes it's a voice memo recorded after work. Sometimes it's a melody that's lived in your head for years. Sometimes it's a lyric written on the back of a receipt, an unfinished demo sitting on a hard drive, or a song someone almost convinced themselves wasn't worth finishing.

Think Vertical Records exists to help those songs move forward.

Founded in North Alabama between Waterloo and the legendary Muscle Shoals music community, Think Vertical Records was built around a simple belief: great songs deserve the chance to become great records, regardless of budget, location, experience, or genre.

We're not a traditional recording studio, and we're not a conventional record label.

We're a modern song development company that combines songwriting, production, arranging, musicianship, mixing, mastering, branding, publishing guidance, release strategy, and creative consulting into one streamlined process designed around the needs of independent creators.

Whether you're writing your very first song or preparing your next commercial release, every project begins with the same question:

"What's the best next step for this song?"

Sometimes that's professional demo production.

Sometimes it's songwriting guidance.

Sometimes it's artist development.

Sometimes it's simply an experienced second opinion before investing thousands of dollars elsewhere.

Every project is different because every song is different.

Meet Martin Lowery

Think Vertical Records was founded by Martin Lowery, a songwriter, producer, creative strategist, and entrepreneur with a passion for helping people finish the music they've always wanted to create.

After years working in marketing, branding, business strategy, and creative production, Martin recognized a problem throughout the music industry. Too many talented writers were forced to choose between expensive studio projects, long production timelines, or giving up on songs altogether.

Think Vertical Records was created to bridge that gap.

Today, Martin works with independent songwriters, artists, producers, churches, studios, veterans, hobby musicians, first-time creators, and lifelong writers across virtually every genre—helping transform unfinished ideas into professionally developed, release-ready productions while respecting both traditional musicianship and modern production technology.

The philosophy has never changed:

Serve the song first.

What Makes Us Different

We believe technology should support creativity—not replace it.

That's why every project combines human judgment, musicianship, creative direction, and modern production tools to serve the song itself.

You'll never be forced into a one-size-fits-all process.

Some projects require complete production.

Others need coaching, publishing guidance, branding, release strategy, or simply another creative perspective.

The goal isn't to sell more services.

The goal is to help every song reach its potential.

Our Process

Every project begins with a complimentary song review.

If we're a good fit, we'll recommend the best path forward based on your goals—not ours.

Our signature DemoReady production service starts at $100, allowing creators to move from rough ideas to professionally developed audio without unnecessary barriers.

From there, additional services such as artist development, songwriting coaching, publishing guidance, branding, playlist strategy, release consulting, and creative direction are available as your project grows.

Our Mission

To help more songs get finished.

To make professional song development more accessible.

To respect traditional craftsmanship while embracing modern tools.

To create opportunities for independent creators who simply need someone willing to help move their music forward.

Because every great record begins with a song.

And every great song deserves the chance to be heard.
